Open several tabs, in settings, check «ouvrir les fenêtres et onglets précédents», quit firefox.

On startup, Firefox should reopen with the same tabs before shutdown.

Firefox opens with one empty tab. Forcing me to got to «history -> recently closed windows -> restore» everytime I quit Firefox or shutdown the mac.

Fresh migration from Win 11 to Mac. tabs, passwords, bookmarks, plugins migrated from win to mac. Attachments:

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

I tried unchecking and rechecking all start settings. When I close Firefox, it asks if I want to close all tabs - the only option is to cancel, leaving Firefox open, or Yes, which would close all my tabs and not reopen the tabs on startup.

My recent history is also missing.

I had 6 groups in the sidebar showing when I closed Firefox last night. Today when I opened Firefox there was only one group showing how do I get the other groups re-displayed in the sidebar? I am finding no clues when using the last line in searching help

I rely heavily on tab groups to organize my browser sessions for different tasks and projects. I’ve experienced an issue where, after saving+closing tab groups, they disappear from the “Recent Tab Groups” section after some time. This means (EVERYTHING IS LOST) I have to recreate my organized tabs from scratch each time, which is a "significant workflow disruption" (to say lightly). I understand tab groups are designed to persist across sessions and the hinting fox menu says they should be available for reopening in “Recent Tab Groups” at anytime, but I’m finding this isn’t consistently working (on several devices I use). I’m hoping to understand if there’s a limitation or known issue with how tab groups are stored, and whether there’s a more reliable way to preserve these groupings long term. It’s possible others are running into this behavior too, and I’d appreciate insight into whether this is a known issue or if I’m missing something in how tab groups are managed. Perhaps a future patch could address this persistence problem for long term reliability?

I use tab groups to save work sessions so I can easily close and reopen them when I need them. I typically use the downward arrow to see all of my tab groups, however, when I opened my laptop today, there are only two tab groups there and no "show all" option. When I opened my laptop today, I did see that Firefox had been closed unexpectedly and the restore sessions option, which I used. The two tab groups I had open when I left my laptop opened again when I used restore sessions, but now those are the only two tab groups I seem to have. How can I get back all of my other tab groups?

I really REALLY don't like tab buttons

How can I make sure they NEVER come back ?

I have tried the violentmonkey script, doesn't work, I have it right now and look, there are TWO tab buttons on my tab !

I have an issue with grouped tabs but I know where the grouped tabs are, I click the arrow facing down and it doesn't show the grouped tabs that I had, I don't know if it's because I turned off my PC when firefox was still open but I do that most of the time, when I opened firefox it said that it couldn't restore previous session or something like that and next thing I notice is that all my grouped tabs are gone. Is there a way to get them back?

I started using a tab group to organize my tabs and save it. I was able to open it from the overflow menu before but now there is no trace of it there. Surely there is a way to see the history of tab groups and recover it right...

A few updates ago I had an extension or setting somewhere which caused a new window to open with the tab which exceeded a pre-defined tab limit. This capability disappeared a few FF updates ago. Is there a way to do this now? Larry

When I close Firefox, it says I have 608 tabs. I keep a lot of tabs open, but not that many! I have tried closing them, but they reappear when I restart Firefox. I want many to reload but not the ones I have closed previously. Please advise -- it is really effecting the performance of my Lenovo laptop.

tried all suggestions - not pinned - closed properly by using exit from settings on RHS, etc FF used to work great for several years - then mozilla updates (something) and *ucks it all up And I do NOT want to work for Mozilla, testing their browser all the time

Hello, I accidentally clicked on a new toggle button and it opened a Google sidebar. I also now do not have the ability to have multiple tabs open on the same browser. If I clcik on command-T (Mac), the screen goes dark. What happened? Can I get my old system back, without this Google sidebar?

The website wouldn't open for me, so I decided to restart Firefox, after which it closed all my tabs and tab groups. My settings are set to "keep tabs after closing the browser." This hasn't happened before.
