Hi ! I see I have the ability to have the AI chatbot in the vertical sidebar, I wonder if I'm able to have the AI chatbot button in the top toolbar instead ?

On starting my laptop and going online I noticed that my sidbar bookmarks text has turned black, it was previously white as I use the dark mode for my browser, I have tried changeing my theme and the only way to revert this is to not use any themes and just have white background which I dont want, is there any way to change this and why has it happened, I have been thought both Firefox and Windows settings but cant find a way to change it?

In early June 2025 I finally ditched Windows 10 for 11 and I've been a Firefox user since practically the very beginning of Mozilla.

Now, I notice that the "Restore Previous Session" button in the drop-down of the FF menu is missing. Additionally, I discovered late in the game that Mozilla DID listen to me and gave us the ability to "name" or "tag" an entire window in the browser. This was a HUGE boon to productivity as I'm constantly toggling from window to window to tab to tab.... Now, with the most recent update this ability seems to have disappeared....

Firefox version: 139.0.4 (64-bit) OS: Windows 11

I have been having issues where Firefox tab will just crash out for no reason it appears and it happens at random times and once the tab start to crash, and I restore it, it will crash again and again. The only way tog et out of the loop is to restart Firefox.

I have tried: Refreshing/Reset, Clearing Cache and History removing all themes, disabling extensions, disabling my anti virus. Turning off hardware acceleration didn't make any different.

I currently have 2 extensions enabled: uBlock Origin 1.64.0 and Bitwarden Password Manager 2025.5.0

In the about:Crashes I have reported them all and they seem to have the same type of reasons in the Raw data/Minidump which are: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Any help as to what to try next?

I have downloaded and installed the Japanese language pack. I switched to Japanese in the settings, but English words still come out. (in fact, I'm on Japan settings typing this) According to others, I've done it correctly, but no luck for me. I saw a setting that said it isn't supported on the American browser. If that's the case, I need a better browser. It works fine on my phone, which is why I am so perplexed with this. If you could offer some advice I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your time

I have a 120Hz display with dynamic refresh rate enabled in the Windows settings (48Hz-120Hz). With dynamic refresh rate enabled Firefox locks browsing at 60Hz. With dynamic refresh rate disabled Firefox shows all websites at 120Hz. Due to battery efficiency reasons I would like to use dynamic refresh rate but still use Firefox with 120Hz across all websites. Is there a hidden setting which I have missed? Thanks!

Several years ago I made the mistake of committing myself to using Firefox and naturally I have had shitloads of problems ever since. Today I boot my computer and launch FF and it asks me if I want to "refresh for a new experience". I'm not an inbred retard so I declined. Now all my addons are gone. How the hell do I fix this? Please don't tell me "in the future use such and such addon to fix it when Firefox deliberately fucks up your addons". Thanks.

Hi, for some reason, I am severely restricted in size when uploading files to Facebook, with a maximum .jpg size of under 50k. I do not have this restriction in Microsoft edge, or on my phone, only on my laptop. I do not have an ad blocker installed that I am aware of. Appreciate any help. Cheers, Merv.

I updated Firefox, and all my bookmarks disappeared, and I can no longer bookmark things, alongside this, websites no longer autofill in and my browsing history is gone. I tried restarting but that did not work.

I have all options enabled to save addresses and credit cards.

When I try to manually add a credit card, hitting the Save button does nothing.

When I use a credit card on a site, Firefox prompts me to save the card, I confirm that I want to save it, yet it isn't saved.

I have Sequoia 15.5 on a 2021 MacBook Pro and have always used FF as my browser. Now, I can't get it to do much more than open. Nothing new happened that I know about, except updates to "Malwarebytes" I have some computer knowledge but not a lot. TIA.

 I have Firefox 140.0 on Windows 11 23H2.  I just noticed that the Favorites Sidebar text and background are both dark.  The History Sidebar does not have this problem.  Changing either Firefox or Windows color scheme has no effect.  I'm pretty sure this happened with the latest update.

There is a preference "media.gmp-widevinecdm.visible" When it is set to true we can see the Widevine addon in Add-ons and Themes. When Firefox is close the setting reverts to false and the addon is no longer visible.

Is this expected behaviour?

We cannot get Netflix to play DRM content. We are currently getting the UI3012 error. We updated the prefererence "media.gmp-widevinecdm.force-chromium-update".

I don't have a netflix account so I can't test on my PC, but setting the above preference on my PC and visiting netflix.com seems to be enough to trigger the installation of Widevine, as I have a folder called;

F:\Users\Tanya\Profiles\ownri05i.default\gmp-widevinecdm\4.10.2891.0

My brother, who is the one experiencing the issue, says he does not have the gmp-widevinecdm folder in his profile folder. However, before updating the force update preference he was getting the F7701-1003 error which changed to UI3012 after setting that preference.

The problem started when I updated his PC from a very old Windows 10 21H2 patch level (2486), to the current 21H2 patch level 5854 and updated Firefox 115.9.1 to Firefox 128.11.0

Will look into OS version upgrades later in the year, but for now I'd like to get Netflix working again.

Hello, Since the update on 24 June 2025, bookmarks are displayed in black text on a black background. Is this normal? If not, how can I resolve the issue? I had set it to dark mode, but even when I switched back to light mode, nothing changed. I would appreciate help from the community or Mozilla if anyone has a website address to contact them.
