Everything was working fine. I ran windows update on 10/31/26. Afterwards I couldn't open Firefox or Brave browsers. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the updates. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I've reinstalled windows 11 three different times. There are approx. 4 programs that won't open or function at all. Nothing changes when I boot up in safe mode, or when I disable my anti virus. I've tried system restoring 4 times but it fails every time. Ironically enough, Microsoft's Edge browser operates perfectly. For some reason, if I go thru the microsoft store and choose the firefox app it downloads and works but not like it did when I downloaded it directly from mozilla. I can't make it my default browser, I can't pin it to the taskbar, and the shortcut target is the My PC folder. I've spend hours chatting with microsoft tech support. I'm at my wits end and don't know what else I can try. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

SO, I changed my email in my account, when I signed in with the new email it opened the old account. so I deleted it and then went to the account with the new email and had to re set everything up. When I want to add another email the error was that email is used by another account, I tried other emails and it said the same thing. how do I delete any other accounts that might be under my other emails?

When i open my VPN and press "Get Started" it took me to a page to sign in, after i signed in and pressed continue, it took me to a page where it told me to start using my VPN, but when i open my VPN panel t still says get started

Hi, I recently bought a new phone and was trying to sign in to Firefox on Android. However, after entering my password, it told me to enter the code from my authenticator app. I do not use an authenticator app for anything besides my university account, as I prefer to receive 2FA codes via text. I also do not recall setting Firefox up to use 2FA. Now, I am logged out of the account on all my devices as they ask for a code in an app I do not have access to nor recall setting up. I hope there is a way for you to help me beyond deleting my account, as I'd prefer not to lose my bookmarks. Regards, Seán

For the last month I have been getting messages randomly but frequently when I am making a Google search that my search has been blocked. It even has done it within a web site. It directs me to click on a recaptcha image to allow the request to go through. I don't know if this is a firefox issue or a google issue. However, it doesn't happen when I go on google on other web sites.

Besides the inconvenience of having to continually identify motorcycles and street lights, I am worried about identity protection.

Please let me know if this is a problem for my identity and if there is a way to stop having to do the recaptcha identifying.

Last week or so, my spellchecker stopped responding, with a message that my free trial period had expired. I had no expectation of a trial period. how can I re-enable a UK style dictionary spellchecker please.

I am trying to export my firefox profiles between two firefox instances on the same PC. The windows ones, which were the originals, work fine. When I boot into ubuntu though, When I put the files into the profiles section of firefox it is unable to recognize the files, even when I rename them to the default profile. Is there a fix for this?

I usually sign in to my online banking using one time two factor authentication code. I was able to do that until last night but I do not get it. I tried other services and they are fine. Can you help me troubleshoot what is wrong

Within the last few days I have noticed that I could no longer react to the comments that others have made on Fox News. I noticed this on Nov 4th 2026. I Made a comment on the Fox News site and others reacted to my comment and I was notified as usual, but I still can't react to the comments of others. I switched browers and all was normal and I was able to react. I don't think this is a Fox News issue but an issue with the latest Firefox update. I went to Firefox settings but didn't find anything that seemed to be relevant.
