I download Firefox with the intention to use it as my Primary Browser 7 times. ((vs Google) I did input the 6 digit number that you sent me. But it keeps disapearing & preventing me from opening it. I suspect that Google is doing something to impede me to finalize this process. Please help me get Free from the Tirny of Unethical Google!

The floating translation button stopped working on my laptop in only one of the windows on the website. The button appears in other windows on the same page. Everything works fine in another browser on the same laptop. I noticed this problem after updating the Mozilla browser. I checked all the settings and exceptions. Please help.

I have the box checked 'Always ask you where to save files' but Firefox saves them to the default folder which I can't delete. it's a real pain in the a** to have to go back and move files. How can I change this?

I live in Norway, and here I need to use a password to communicate with official offices. Whenever I want to log in, a list of three passwords appears. I have to remember that only one is right. Always, Firefox has a link to manage passwords. But when I go there, the wrong passwords are grayed out, and if I click on the delete symbol, only my valid password is deleted! How to manage the manage password page?

Hey, I'm trying to change the font of my browser. I have dowloaded it and installed it in my fonts folder, yet I don't see it in the dropdown menu when I try to change it. Did I miss something?

1. y extensions do not appear at the top of my browser window even though they are enabled. 2. My url field now goes almost all the way across my window!! Moving the window requires careful cursor placement on the edge. 3. When I click the Firefox name on the top of my computer it only offers me the option to open a private window.

I have a question that has to do with the ever growing memory usage. I just found out the about:memory page in Firefox, which allows the users to manually free up the system memory by clicking the "Minimize memory usage" button. This is great and it does its job well, however for many years I've wondered why doesn't the browser clean up the memory taken by web pages like Twitch, Kick, Youtube, etc., which take a lot of memory, especially when people leave them open for hours, then when they close the tabs, the memory stays buffered until the browser has been completely closed.

The "Minimize memory usage" button does clean up the memory, so won't it be possible to implement such functionality that can be enabled/disabled somewhere in Settings, to allow the users to choose the browser to unload all memory taken by any tab when they close the tab, but not the whole browser?

This will help a lot, because I personally leave my PC and browser open for days, and sometimes I have to either close and re-open it, or go to about:memory and do a "Minimize memory usage" to free up the memory, that was taken few days ago by a single Twitch stream tab or some other tab, and the information in this buffer is absolutely pointless, but it sometimes takes all of my 96GB of RAM.

Seems no sound from one website phone.com when trying to play mp3 voice messages - no problem playing sound in edge browser and other websites play sound ok using firefox. Have checked firefox app audio settings and all good - even can see audio bar moving - but no sound and it is not muted. Using windows 11 pro and firefox version 144 and my autoplay is set "allow audio & video" as default for all. Any help appreciated - thanks.

I have no idea which heading this goes under, but as the title says, when loading a page that needs consent for cookies, the dialog box momentarily flashes up on the screen and is then gone.

To add insult to injury I have to fire up another browser, go to the site and it then works, so this is specific to Firefox.

I can get this to work if I go into safe mode, but after that I am back to square one.

Now if this were any attachments I am using I could understand it, but I recently bought a new Laptop for a friend and installed a fresh copy of FF on it.

So given this is a virgin copy of FF with no attachments or anything else other than default settings, why does it exhibit the exact same behaviour?

I have a new Microsoft Surface tablet. I thought I downloaded Mozilla/ or transferred it from my old PC computer where it is my primary. First there is no "Home" tab. Second, I have renewed my VPN,which was recently due to renew, and I believe it is downloaded onto the tablet, although I can't find any icon for it. When I try to download it again, I get an error message that this app is only supported by 64 bit devices? So, does that mean my Surface tablet doesn't have 64 bit capabilities? I'm confused. Thanks

I had a regular session open with quite a large number of tabs and tab groups. I then opened a private session to perform a separate task. After that, I closed my regular session. Then, I closed the private session. When I reopened my regular session, all my tabs and tab groups were gone.

I find it quite harsh that all tabs and tab groups from the regular session are wiped out simply because the private session was closed after the regular one, especially since the two sessions are completely unrelated. Why not manage the tabs and tab groups of these two sessions separately?

I lost all my professional tabs and tab groups, and I don’t see any way to restore them. It’s really frustrating to lose all this work just because of the order in which sessions were closed.

I'm trying to contact a seller on Etsy. I can't place the cursor in the text box to key in my message. I used to be able to do this with no issues, but apparently something changed for Firefox. The text box access does work when I try it on Chrome.

Om my prior system, when I opened a new tab, Firefox would show me the most frequently used sites. I am now on a Windows 11 machine and want that same feature. It used to show 3 rows of 6 sites that I could click on which saves me looking at my Bookmarks
