I am using Firefox on Windows 11, in the process of switching from Chrome.

I run Cockpit (https://cockpit-project.org/) on web servers that I manage, and when I log into it on Firefox the screen flickers constantly, making it unusable.

There is no issue with any other web sites I have visited, and I can still use Cockpit when in Chrome. So ay suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with Cockpit and Firefox?

My computer is new and I was told the soft ware problem I have is with firefox/ mozilla. Most of my pogo games are working fine , but there are a few I can't play using firefox. If i use EDGE I have no problems, all my games in pogo work fine. Please fix the problem. Thanks

I'm hoping someone can help me resolve this. I teach online using Google Meet and would like to be able to share videos but every time I try, my students only see the video and can't hear any audio. all my screensharing settings are correct on my iMac as that was the first place I checked. I have tried finding a solution online, but short of downloading the dreaded Google Chrome itself, I can't find a solution.

I am watching videos on you tube and is changing the original language from english to spanish with out me asking and the same goes for the CC subtitles, it keeps on changing the english original to spanish and vice versa and is really annoying, I have no idea if the problem is with Firefox or with Google Youtube!!

I have set the minimum size of tabs to 50 in about:config, but I still usually have more pinned and regular tabs than will fit, and it goes into the overflow arrows. Is there an add-on or configuration where I can have the tab overflow as a drop-down?

Sorry to bore you with this seemingly banal question. I have quite bad dislexia, and although I have full type spell check on Safari, default browser, I cannot work out how to get it work on FFox. I include a copy of machine learning -the bit I'm struggling with: "You can check if a dictionary is installed and active in Firefox in two main ways: through a right-click context menu in a text field or in the Add-ons Manager" Or this freaks me out: "To get spell check working in Firefox, enable "Check your spelling as you type" in General Settings, then ensure you have the correct dictionary installed by visiting Firefox Add-ons and adding your desired language dictionary (like English UK/US) for spell-checking to function correctly in text boxes. If it's still not working, right-click a text field to confirm the dictionary is selected"

I have tried to use my spelling abilities, especially in our #ClimateCrisisClub multiple online forums, without any spell check and it's slowing me down on wondering if the spelling is right etc. The letter positioning as words is ok, I can spot andcorrect, but again slows up. It's very frustrating, and not a great look in presentation. I would be forever in your debt if you can help me. Yours Oliver.

Recently, I've been noticing an issue with Firefox's built in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature. When watching media, such as a YouTube video, using PiP, the video runs as normal, but recently, the PiP completely breaks when I tab away from my Firefox window to do something in a different app. This wasn't the case a few months ago, so I'm not sure what changed to make this error happen. I had attempted to disable hardware acceleration to see if that was the issue, and nothing changes when it's enabled versus when it's disabled.

Hi. I have had an ongoing random problem on videos sites where while scrolling, about half way down page it will suddenly have a seizure, stutter, causing multiple copies of the window to jump up and down. If I "slowly" scroll back up to the "quiet" area (midway to top of screen) it will behave normally. I try and watch the video I had been watching when it went nuts, happens again. I 'think' I got by it the other night...somehow I don't think it was me, rather it just happened to snap back into place. It had been happening more frequently several months ago where it was a real problem, went through all the normally accepted ways of cleaning, checking and hunting for others having a similar problem. The latter is where I have normally found the best and most recent inquiry similar to mine. Good part is it's fast and I know it's not just me. Bad part is it's fast and nobody has had time to answer it. Then it suddenly just stopped. In fact, I had forgotten about it! The bane of my daily computer life for weeks was suddenly gone and I forgot about it???? Well, it reminded me today, it's back. Any suggestions? I had thought it was with some Microsoft changes that had been going on and that had seemed to be the consensus but? Thanks in advance.

in my opinion downloading files requires much time compared to other browses so i just wanted to request if you can help to improve the way of saving files.thanks bold text

I've been using what I gather is an "older" profiles system via about:profiles.

Now if I:

1. go to about:profiles and open my second profile in another window, 2. close second window and about:profiles page, 3. open about:profiles again in first window,

I get "Another copy of Firefox has made changes to profiles. You must restart Firefox before making more changes."

This happens every single time, even though I've made zero changes to profiles, and is extremely annoying.

Can/should I migrate my profiles to the new profile manager? How to do this?

I have saved passwords on my firefox account in my desktop but my hard disk got problem so i reinstalled windows. all data gone.

but when i logged in again in my firefox account then no passwords are being showing up now. How can they be restored

I had privacy and security set to clear all sites and cookies upon closing Fire Fox. When I formerly clicked the "Star" on Search in tool bar, with the "Show Editor when Saving" checked I then choose the folder to which I wish to save the Web Page. By unchecking the clear all, I thought I had the problem repaired. No, Today when saving a new page it does not appear in my folder of choice. It does show in "Recently Book Marked", the "gear" symbol. I have refreshed Fire Fox, replaced my settings from the Customize Tool Bar, but still not functioning. How does one reset Fire Fox to save to the folder of choice? I am not aware of what settings I have changed. I can export all to off site, but where does the system keep them, I think it does? I have over 4000 book marks. Is there some limit? Thank, JJE

I suddenly can not sign in to my bank account. Started last night (12/22) and continues this morning. It worked fine yesterday morning (12/22). I can login in using a non firefox device without issue. What did firefox change and how do I fix it?

Every time I add an extension I am asked if I will pin the extension to the toolbar. I try to uncheck the box because I don't want to pin the extension, but the check mark won't disappear. The pinned extension icon on toolbar disappears after I click the box and the check mark disappears after I move the cursor off the box. This happens after 146.0 was released and the same thing does on Beta and Nightly. I am confused by this and hope this will be fixed.

IIF I hit my round face circle top right ff toolbar, I am currently on "original profile' but can tap for two others, 'test 1' and one i named 'mac 13', which then appear in large white squished flower thing-icons!! Click trash on either id I want to remove just sends me to "welcome to Firefox" page, and seems to want to go thrrough a set up set of screens, usually w. a "we love keeping you safe.." pop up and "skip step. I DON'T WANT TO ADD PROFILES, ONE IS ENOUGH!!! HELP!

I HAVE NOTICED ON START UP, MY ACCOUNT NAE HAS A YELLOW FLAG TOP RIGHT PROFILES, AND A WHITE FLOWER. MY BOOKMARKS DISAPPEAR UNTIL I PICK A PROFILE AND ALL THREE SHOW UP AT SME. TIM ON MAC DOCK!!!! I TRIED TO DELETE THE EXTRA PROFILEES 9"TEST 1, TEST 2, AND MAC 13) BUT IT WON'T LET ME AND IT MAKES MY BOOKMARKS DISAPPEAR AND SIGN IN YET AGAIN!! HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE EXTRA PROFILES, WHEN THEY WON'T DELETE UNDER "TRIPLE LINES IN TOP RIGHT SCREEN/CLICK ON PROFILE/MANAGE PROFILES/.pictture icons appear of ea. look like large flowers....I press delete on any of them and I get a black screen (removes me fom even the correct profilee I was using)!!!!

When I click "show all history", it appears in a script I do not know, but the name and URL below that list appears in English. I have gone though all of the settings options and everything is set to appear in English (US or UK), without a hint of any other language. I've quit and restarted Firefox, and restarted my Macbook Pro laptop running OS 14.8.3. Nothing changes. Thanks for any suggestions!
