your message said turn it on in Settings > Browser, but the only menu item i found was Settings > Tabs and Browsing. I couldn't find anything about an ad blocker there.

This is my first time to Mozilla Support with a question.

Firefox is my default browser using version 155.0.1. I use Strict ETP. [FYI - my skills are basic with IT]. I also use Firefox Focus on my iPhone.

I previously used Google Chrome but I must have removed it as it's no longer appearing in my desktop Apps.

As of a couple of days ago, I tidied up my Library/cache and deleted it to 'Trash', using Apple support community help instructions for housekeeping. (Because I was getting increased frequency in the spinning ball at start-up). I didn't delete any other folders - just Library/cache in my housekeeping.

Since then, when searching Google / Firefox, Google keeps asking if I'm a robot (asking me to tick a 'reCaptcha' box) as it's detecting unusual traffic on my computer - before it continues with my search via Firefox browser.

This doesn't happen when using other search engines, (eg: Bing or Duck Duck Go).

Using Google searches on Safari browser does not ask me if I'm a robot question ? Searches go through perfectly - no questions asked. Only when I use Google search engine with desktop Firefox. Is it my privacy settings?

I prefer Firefox as my browser because it's independent and open sourced, safe and for its sense of community.

My desktop MacBook Air (2017) is 9 y/o - vintage? So, no longer receiving software updates - but hoping to upgrade with a new Mac desktop soon. (see attached image of current MacBook Air operating system Monterey version 12.7.6).

My question is:

- Why is Google only in the last two days asking me at every search, the above question about 'unusual traffic' / tick the robot box ? And,

- Should I reinstall 'Google Chrome' via the Apple Store?

Or for better security, think of getting a new computer sooner, rather than later ? :(

I use GiveAsYouLive to raise funds for charity when shopping online. To ensure it works what settings should I have in Firefox to allow the shop site to interact with my browser? Please explain in simple terms as I'm not a techie !

Good day everybody, I am new to Firefox. I have MacBookAir 11. I added the Ecosia extension since it's my main search engine. I noticed there aren't ads popping up for Ecosia. That is how Ecosia makes money for it's sustainability projects, so, as nice as it is to not see ads, I would like them to show up for my Ecosia searches. I understand you can make an Enhanced Tracking Protection exception (and I did), but where can I find a place to make exceptions for whatever AdBlock software came already integrated to Firefox? I am liking Firefox so far. Thank you everybody. Miran.

I posted my problem last week on the forum and was told to do a Control+Shift+K, which I did. It indicated that Fingerprinting was blocking the sonograms. I am nervous about unblocking this one feature of eBird and wonder if someone could investigate and walk me through fixing it without messing things up overall. Nobody answered my post. Hi, I am experiencing an issue with accessing my Amazon orders and returns when using Mozilla Firefox. While I can navigate to Amazon.com without any problems, I am now prompted to sign in to my Amazon account whenever I attempt to view my orders or returns. This pop-up indicates that it is a Firefox security issue rather than a Windows problem. This situation has only started occurring recently, and I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. My Firefox version is 150.03. Thank you for your help.

Firefox updated to version 131.0 64 bit. Bill payment functions on my banking web site stopped working. I cleared cache and cookies and restarted PC but didn't fix it. I tried using Microsoft Edge and the banking web site worked as always. The bank IT person said it was a Firefox problem. Also, the site says not to block 3rd party cookies, enable cookie tracking and cross-site tracking. In Firefox, I made all changes to allow these things for this site but it still doesn't work. Looks like the latest Firefox update is causing a problem that always worked in the past, while trying to fix something else.
