Hi bob, Firefox discontinued support for the Adobe Acrobat plugin -- running Acrobat inside a tab -- a very long time ago. Currently, your choices are:

(A) View a PDF in a tab using the built-in viewer ("Preview in Firefox" setting, see: View PDF files in Firefox)

(B) View the PDF outside of Firefox in Adobe Acrobat DC (see: How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer)

I think Chrome offers similar options, if this was the only reason you were going to use Firefox.

There are other reasons, of course, but this isn't one of them.
