Did you test this junk ? maybe you should check this garbage BEFORE it pisses off your users. I am considering changing my browser now ... if it doesn't work correctly, who needs it ? If this can be fixed tell me how and i might stay with mozilla. Problem; It doubled bookmarks in the list (I figured that out and fixed it) Then it inverted my bookmarks Z-A instead of A-Z(like normal) and your sort settings don't revert them. Was going to send a screen shot but now it doesn't show all of my bookmarks .... WTF !!! THIS IS FRUSTRATING !!!!!!! PLEASE FIX YOUR SHIT !!!!!

That's strange and troubling.

Which "set" is out of order: the Bookmarks Menu, the Bookmarks Toolbar, or the "Other Bookmarks"? Or all of them?

Do you use Firefox Sync? If so, what other kinds of devices share the account?

Have you considered restoring a backup rather than trying to fix the current list? Please see this article for more information: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer. Before doing a restore, it's probably a good idea to make a safety export first. See: Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks.

In case you haven't already, you can add the optional bookmarks menu button (). That one works the same way as the old bookmarks menu button (), which was the "right-half" of the inseparable star+book duo.

To add that button, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

  • Click the "Library" button:
  • Click "Bookmarks"
  • Click "Bookmarking Tools"
  • Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"
