After update to FF22, My bookmarks repeat themselves and thus, I have 6 sets of identical bookmarks under BOOKMARK MENU. Each set is complete and sufficient.

Shall I delete manually the 5 redundant sets? If I do so, will FF automatically delete the remaining set that I mean to keep?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
