It is about a pc stayed off-line since 2009 and now reconnected to the net. Also, how must I upgrade, uninstall and re-install I suppose? Any special instructions?

Your pc is compatible with Firefox 10 which can be found here

there is no special instruction.you can remove like normal way from control panel-add or remove program or you can install on top of current version...just download the installer and simply run and then follow the instruction
