error message: "firefox could not instal this item because "install.rdf"(provided by the item) is not well-informed or does not exist" every time we open firefox.

Every time we start up Firefox we get the error message stated above - every time we start Firefox up we get the error message - as stated above - "Firefox could not install this item because "install.rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-informed or does not exist". Can you help?

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
