Have to reset passwords after a Restart for Windows update.

Mudge

For the past several months the saved passwords, for my Comcast account, have had to be reset. When viewed the password vault still shows the old but correct password. It happens after a restart required for a Windows Update. I put in a dummy password, reboot, put the original password, reboot and I'm back and working as it was in the past.

Isn't password manager suppose to save the password until changed or deleted? It had in the past!

Update 9/18/2026 - I have reset the passwords and rebooted each time, to no avail, Still get the same bogus error message that the server has reject the password. Now it will not down load! I can access all mail on the Comcast server and have NO issues with my mail on my iPhone and iPad. Everything points to Thunderbird.

If I uninstall Thunderbird and reinstall a new download, can I use my saved profiles to get everything, saved data and e-mails, to restore it back to normal?
