Firefox on Samsung UN65JS900 Smart Hub
Hi,
I recently purchased a Samsung TV UN65JS9000 which comes with the Smart Hub app system.
It also has a full browser installed.
And it happens to be Firefox!
I went to do an upgrade because it notified me of an upgrade being available.
The problem is that when I attempt to do the upgrade, Firefox's own website doesn't know what Firefox version is installed on my TV.
How do I figure out what Firefox is installed on the TV.
There are several Linux version you offer but I don't know which is the correct one.
I tried two and the TV is saying incorrect file format.
Thank you!
Rob

- 1 Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
- 2 Uninstall Firefox from your computer {web link}
DO NOT remove your profiles. - 3 After, reboot the computer. Then run the full installer.
This has nothing to do with my question and I assuming the answer was supplied by a robot.
I am talking about Firefox that came as default on my TV under the Smart HUB app software.
Its a TV, not a PC, MAC or Mobile phone.
Not nice to fool mother nature!
Now how about having a human read my question!

Not a robot. I assumed it worked like a PC.
Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Then Help > About Firefox will tell you what version have and check for updates.
FredMcD, This is not on Windows as you are used to and the Check for Updates only work on official Mozilla builds.
The apps he is using is say http://www.samsung.com/us/appstore/browse
The desktop Firefox from www.Mozilla.org/firefox/all/ is only for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/
Newer Samsung Tv's use the Tizen OS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_smart_TV_platforms_and_middleware_software
