Today, October 1st, Firefox was updated on my computer, and I really don’t like the new design. The upper part of the browser is now much brighter and draws too much attention. The tabs also have a more rounded shape. I personally preferred the previous design, where the tabs were rectangular with slightly rounded corners - it looked cleaner and matched the rest of the browser better. I also don’t understand why the active tab is now highlighted so strongly. Previously, the active tab was simply a little lighter than the inactive ones, which felt much more subtle and comfortable. Is there a way to restore the previous design completely - with the gray upper browser area, the previous tab shape, and a less prominent active-tab highlight?

I have the appearance setting set to dark. I have a dozen themes with the dark option selected, but every web page is white with black text. What gives?? Windows 11, Firefox 157.0 (the new, ugly version)

Firefox just forced a terrible update on me that makes everything look round and different and I hate it so much. I don't understand why they think people want things to change all the time instead of being allowed to get familiar with something and now have it change on you without even asking if you want it to change!

Hello. I posted my first "Idea" three years ago, and it's still awaiting review. So are every single "Idea" I've submitted, and so are my comments on other people's ideas. Whenever I try to post about this here, the post is automatically removed. I don't understand what is going on. I haven't done anything to get my account banned or flagged or anything. I haven't received any notifications about why the posts are removed. What is going on?????

Ok this latest UI appearance change is absolute dog feces. I hate it so much! It's so ugly! How do I change it back? I did not consent for my eyeballs to be assaulted like this. Did I mention it sucks? How do I change it back? 157.0.0.11

Multiple attempts to ask what seems to be a a clear and simple question. I am able to add bank and charge cards to payment methods but not able to add bank account number for same. Windows 11 Firefox version 157.0

Every time I ask a question, it immediately disappears; i.e. if I refresh the page, it says the page doesn't exist, and then I go to "My Questions" and I don't see it there either. I'm sure this one will be immediately erased too. What is going on?

This site: https://friendsmclibrary.square.site/. and other square sites connected to it are unable to load in FF since this am. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF, loaded it in safe mode, and problem still persists. FF is my default browser and I need to use those square pages, so I could really use help getting this fixed. Safari and chrome work just fine. P.S.: after I reinstalled FF, the page loaded just fine until I logged in to my FF account, and then it would no longer load it.

I´m really sorry it had to come to this. I used Firefox for decades. And I think it´s important to have another engine next to google.

But. Firefox consistently loose my opened tabs. I´m not on my desktop just like once per week, and each time I open firefox, it is updated, and clean, and today I can´t open any history. I can probably reopen closed things, but not OPENED while closed last time. This has been really last drop, I´m tired of opening everything again, finding what was there. It was there for a purpose. So. bye bye, and I´ll go download something working ... like brav or duckduckgo. Not happy about this, but I don´t see another choice.

Regarding FF v157:

- Mozilla have changed the Graphical user interface of Firefox without asking for consent or providing a clear way to revert back to the old interface, yet again. - They have made changes to the settings, so pre-installed search engines can only be toggled off and NOT removed... - There are a bunch of themes now pre-installed that can't be removed.

I think pushing a change without over way to revert, is why I a lot of people don't donate to the Mozilla foundation

My tabs are now in an AI-style pill. All of the browser has a weird gradient. It looks like AI tech bro BS. How to turn it back to a normal reliable browser interface? This is insanely terrible. Downloading Vivaldi now.

Also, there's now the File Edit View and so on on top. We have a word for that in German: Verschlimmbessert. In English: AI slopification.

Like seriously, what were y'all thinking? I'm using Firefox since it exists and am working as a designer. This AI slopification is an absolute nightmare. :(

My browser is using 2,3 Gb of extra ram it goes away by restarting but comes back in 5-10 min. It occurs wathing twich, i have tried disabling extentsions but it doesn't work. in about:memory the readout is as thoug it is keaping an extra copy of open browser files in ram.

Today I upgraded to v157 and since then can't download files properly. I thought it wasn't doing anything, but on checking my Downloads folder found that it was saving files in there but with random file names and adding .part to the end. My settings haven't changed, "always ask" is checked, but it doesn't ask me where to save, just puts it in Downloads. This has never happened before. I tried changing the file download location and it downloaded to the specified folder but still without asking). I can remove the .part and the file will open, but I don't know how to stop it doing this. I never had this problem before upgrading to 157. Can someone tell me how to fix this or is it a glitch in v157? Many thanks

I currently am using my old email as my account [email address]. When I try to add in my current email dlambert@provision.net, I get an error message saying it is being used by another user.

If I try to log in with my current email, [email address] it says you must log in with the primary email.

How do I find out what the primary email is for the other account ? I suspect it was an old account used by me at some point in time.

In essence, what I would like to do is make my primary account my current email of [email address] and remove the [email address] all together.

At some point in time, I would like to delete the [email address] domain altogether since I own it.

Hi, I recently opened my browser and noticed that all the tabs are now rounded instead of rectangular. I'd like to restore them to their original appearance, but I can't find anywhere how to do it.
