I can't zoom in on images on nordstrom.com and I can't change image views on the product page. This is an ongoing problem and I've tried everything. Help!

I'm not sure if this is an issue with Javascript or flash or html5 etc. When I open the website in Safari, everything works fine. I've tried reinstalling firefox, clearing cookies, disabling add-ons, etc. I'm on a Mac OSX 10.7

Thanks for the suggestion.. I've tried putting my mouse over the image, because that should be enough to zoom in. I've tried clicking on the image as you are able to do, but it never works. Furthermore, I can never switch to the alternate views by clicking on them -- the website just doesn't respond. There's something wrong, I just don't know how to fix it. Safari works fine, so I know it's a setting on the Firefox side and I am absolutely willing to acknowledge that it's something that my particular browser is doing wrong :/

I think in order to fix it, I need to know if the issue involves javascript, flash, etc..

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

To Enable SafeMode

  • You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.
  • Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")

That worked! Even though I swear I tried that before :0

The first add-on I tried to enable was DoNotTrackMe. The problem reappeared only with that add-on enabled. I made some adjustments to the program and now everything looks fine..

Thank you for your help!
