Jux (www.jux.com) doesn't work in FireFox anymore. I have to use I.E. Why?

I used to have no problems using Jux in Firefox, but today it didn't work properly: I couldn't edit, add a new post etc. Streetview pictures were awfully stretched. In I.E. there was no problem at all, but I discovered that after an hour or so.... Could and would you please research this problem?

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

I updated via the link my FireFox-plugin's: they are now all 'up-to-date' . But the problem is still exactly the same. What to do now? I'm not an I.E. lover.

This is not an answer but an addition: what worries me too is the fact that I can't reach the sign-in page of Jux (in FF): every time I search for Jux I directly go to my own account, the general startpage of Jux is impossible to get. Weird. Thanks for a reaction.

What error are you getting?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:


  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

I cleared my cache, history and cookies and then told CCleaner to do that too. But, I'm sorry to say: no changes. I still can't use Jux in FF.

Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Don't select anything right now, just use "'Start in Safe Mode" To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shift key) to open it again. If it is good in the Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Thank I, I'm gonna try your advice. I now know it must be something in one computer, because when I use my laptop (also with FF) there's no problem! 'Start in safe modus' brings no improvement. I'm now going for the troubleshoot.

You can remove all stored data from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions from that domain, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

I re-initialised FireFox, but it didn't help. (Very sad.) Offcourse I restarted not only FF but also my computer. How can I reinstall the Old Firefox-things? They are now in a new map on Desktop. Thanks

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I think this is my last remark (concerning this topic). I de-installed en re-installed FF, but it did not change the fact that I can't use Jux. I can't add new posts, I can't log out, I can't share.( I can edit, yes, I can. )

Only solution: using I.E. So be it. Thank you, who tried to help.
