at the bottom - the url if you click on it - it switches to the other side of the browser. How do I disable that completely - it's annoying and gets into the way
specifically this becomes a problem when I am in an IP chat room - and while it is not a technical problem it is just an annoyance, and I was wondering if there is anyways to disable it. So maybe I can see the url at the top near the menu bar or not at all.

You can use this extension to hide the pop-up that shows the URL of a link on hover and other data that previously appeared on the Status bar.

Thank you for the prompt response and the answer was top notch and solved the hovering status bar. High 5's to the whole Firefox community.
