When deleting the "recent history" Why is the option "forms & search history" ever unavailable to choose it? erach

When trying to delete the recent history of browsing, I click on "Tools", then at "options" and inside it, into "privacy" I click later at "don't remember history" . At this point a list of different options opens. Between those ones there's one called "Forms & History" wich is ever "opaque", and do not offer the option to activate it making a click on it. Why This?. Is anyone not allowing me the use of "really delete" all answers used on the forms before ending? Many thanks.

Maybe there is no form and search history to delete? I see that setting greyed out in the "Clear recent history" setting from the Tools menu, but it is enabled in the Options.

Thanks a lot Finitarry for your support! I really appreciate it.

But... introducing keywords or /and some personal profiles, to access to any net service are not considered forms? So what is in fact considered "form"?.

-> click Firefox button and click Options (or File Menu -> Options)

  • Privacy panel -> History section -> under Firefox will: select "Use Custom Settings for History"
  • Remove Checkmark from Permanent Private Browsing mode
  • place Checkmarks on 1) Remember my Browsing History 2) Remember Download History 3) Remember Search and Form History 4) Accept Cookies from sites -> 5) Accept Third-party Cookies
  • Now Remove Checkmark from Remember Search and Form History
  • click OK on Options window

Check and tell if its working.

Do you have enabled saving form data?

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > "Remember search and form history"

Keywords are part of bookmarks and are not considered form data.

Can you attach a screenshot to illustrate what you mean?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
