This is an issue seen with Firefox 3.6.14 and the Mozilla team is trying to fix it. Hopefully, the issue would be resolved in the next version of Firefox 3.6.15.
If you wish, you can revert back to the previous version of Firefox (3.6.13). Please see this article for instructions on how to install an older version: Install an older version of Firefox.
Before you install the previous version, just to be on the safe side, it is better to take a backup of your personal data like bookmarks, history, passwords etc. This article contains instructions to do that: Manually back up and restore Firefox profile data.
