When I access Google (my home page) and a few other sites, I get a message "The page at http://www.google.com says:" in the header and 0 (zero) in the body.

I have the same problem when using MyPoints toolbar and AAdvantage Shopping toolbar for searching but with no other websites that I go to. A similar problem also exists with IE8 except the header says, "Message from webpage," and the body says "undefined." Google Chrome doesn't exhibit the problem.

I found a fix that worked for me at google support forum

It way my mypoints points finder add on. I disabled it and the message box no longer pops up.

I contacted MyPoints Member Services about the issue and received the following reply that I hope helps anybody who has the same problem:

Dear Member,

Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services.

We appreciate you reporting this error. In order to resolve this issue, we suggest you to disable Merchant Marker in the Toolbar Settings. Please follow the below steps to disable the Merchant Marker.

1. Click on the MyPoints logo on very left-hand side of the Toolbar and select "Toolbar Settings."

2. Once you're at the Toolbar Options page, click on the "Advanced Settings."

3. Uncheck the option "Enable Merchant Marker," to disable the same.

4. Click on "Save" to save the settings.

Also please note that this is a temporary fix and we are working to fix this bug.

Yes, and I continue to get credit for searches from the MyPoints toolbar.
