Can no longer log into the Fidelity website with Firefox. I can with Edge and Duck, Duck, go

aviatorone

I am trying to log into my Fidelity.com account. I get a "Sorry, we can't complete this action right now. Please try again. Go back to login" message. My computer is a Dell XPS 9320, I7 - 1360P processor. Win 11, 26H2, running Firefox ver.: 159.0.1 (64-bit).

Troubleshooting: 1. Refresh Firefox - same problem occurs 2. Ran Firefox in trouble shoot mode - same problem occurs 2. Uninstall/re-install Firefox and reboot computer - same problem occurs 3. Login with Edge and Duck, Duck, Go - Fidelity Login works just fine. 4. Login with Firefox on my Win 10 computer - Fidelity Login works just fine 5. Login with Firefox on another Win 11, 25H2 computer - Fidelity Login works just fine

I am in a quandary as to the problem and what to do next.

Please provide guidance.

Posted the question a bit too fast. The solution to this was something I already knew but did not work through Firefox adequately. I always leave Firefox through the 3 bar application menu and scroll down to "Exit" and select it to close Firefox. My settings in Firefox is to clear all my history when exiting Firefox using the Exit selection (Note: using the "X" in upper top right corner of the window only closes the window. It does not execute what you want accomplished in the settings on exit.) Where I messed up is in my history of items to clear you have a box at the top for the period to clear, i.e., last hour, last 2 hours, ........Everything. I usually have it set to Everything, but this time it was set to last hour. Hence all in the last hour was cleared out, but older data was not, so when the Fidelity login came up it saw a lot of old data, cookies, cache, etc. and stumbled, then sent the "Can't complete action" message. Don't know how the history to delete period changed to last hour, perhaps it was the new version install, but when I set the delete period back to everything it all worked as expected and I could login.

Lesson learned. Hope this is of help for others.
