How do I allow pop-ups on specific trusted websites

Hi, you can allow pop-ups for just the sites you trust, rather than turning the blocker off everywhere.

In Firefox, go to Settings, then Privacy & Security. Under Permissions, next to Block pop-up windows, choose Exceptions. Type the address of the trusted site, choose Allow, then Save Changes.

After that, reload the site and try again. If the pop-up still does not appear, check whether you are using a separate pop-up or ad-blocking add-on, as that can block it even after you add the exception. It is best to keep the general blocker switched on and only add sites you genuinely trust.

I do this from the address bar instead, which I find quicker for a site I am already on. When Firefox blocks a pop-up, a small icon appears at the right end of the address bar. If I click it, Firefox offers to allow pop-ups for that site, and it remembers the choice so I do not have to dig through Settings each time. I only do this for sites I know and trust, and I keep the blocker on everywhere else.
