'Encountering 10 -15 minute delay in receiving emails in Thunderbird via Yahoo mailbold text. My ISP is Cox communications and with their conversion to Yahoo, using Thunderbird to view emails has not been timely.

is that the 15 minutes between checking for new mails that is the default?
Many users of Cox have been reporting issues lately.
I'm not familiar with those specific issues, but you might try
- Start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode
- Still In Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird
Does problem change? (many users have found antivirus software causing problems)
