There is a setting to show each tab as a separate Windows on the Windows Taskbar. Could you check that:

Open the Settings page

In the tiny search box, type task

If there is a check mark for "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar", uncheck the box.

In the tiny search box, type task

If there is a check mark for "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar", uncheck the box.
