Cursor on the righthand side of my inbox is always at the top of the page when I open Thunderbird instead of at the bottom.

At the same time any emails are hidden and I have to go to another folder and back to my inbox,then for a second time bring the cursor down to the bottom of the page to reveal my fresh emails.
