For weeks Firefox has crashed constantly. I have two iMacs.. .we intermittent on the 24 inch and did not occur on the 20 inch. However recently since Sept 1st 'ish 2017 Firefox on the 20 inch now crashes 100% of the time.

Even with a completely new installation of 55.0.3 it crashes upon opening.

I've never experienced this in 20 years of computing. Crash upon opening 100% of the time. How does this make it to market and not be functional?

I have unchecked hardware acceleration as instructed. Nothing works.

What will make Firefox work?

You don’t happen to have some recent MalwareBytes product for Mac installed on those machines, have you?

Please try to find crash report IDs and post the latest ones here. See the Mozilla Crash Reporter article for how to do that.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Get the crash reports and post them here.
