I was compressing emails on desktop, server went off, inbox went blank. Restarted computer but Thunderbird would not open. Iphone/laptop. OK What do I do?

At first could read trash, sent and drafts, but nothing in inbox. Also no Thunderbird logo in bottom panel. After restarting computer, the Thunderbird program would not open at all altho icon is on desktop screen and listed in programs.
