My Bookmarks are not working all of a sudden

My bookmarks are not working. Every time I try to click the star, nothing happens. I try to add bookmarks using ctrl d and nothing happens. This happened probably after an update from firefox (there is so many that I have to do constantly). I even tried restoring previous bookmarks, however it tells me unable to process the backup files. Ive even done "refresh firefox" "troubleshoot mode" and "clear startup cache" in the about:support area. Ive also reset my pc multiple times.

I would hate to have to use a different browser. PLEASE HELP FIX THIS

Hey,

I think I found the solution. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update There are back ups of your bookmarks in the roaming app data on your computer. This link explains where they are. once you find the file in there you can import it: top right corner menu - bookmarks - manage book marks - import and back up (top left corner).
