Hello. How do I do if I want Firefox to open a new window every time I click on the icon? I tried to insert the command "-new-window URL", which used to work before but it doesn´t anymore. Is there anybody out there who knows something about this?

bold textstarting/wanting to use Java. Java is loaded but I am having issues starting to use it. I have Java loaded and installed but ho to starting to use ????

The trouble I ll present you might come a bit late, I've just never thought about asking on this forum (didn't even know that it exists lol) and I spent a lot time on tutorials trying to find the solution... lol 😩

My situation : I have a laptop with debian 12 stable. Early July, I updated my apps, Firefox 128 has just been released. Since the Firefox 128 update, I can no longer execute Firefox, I always get the pop up message :

Failed to execute child process (no such file or directory)

I've tried many times to uninstall & reinstall, purge & reinstall. Still the same "failed to execute... " message. all the subsequent updates (128.X and 129.X) haven't solved this problem...

On the other hand, Firefox ESR 128 works like a charm.

Is anyone in the same situation as me ? 😕

I followed the advice but there are 'no' crash reports are created when this happens.

It always seems to be when I'm typing in a text field (and possibly typing control keys too).

I've googled 'short cut' keys for Windows to see if something I'm typing is doing it but haven't found anything.

So other than installing a keylogger on my device is there any other way to figure out what is going on?

Does Firefox have a log file? If so is there a log that says ..."User closed the browser". That would tell me it is me typing something in that is somehow telling the browser to close.

I also don't see any app crash reports in MS Event Viewer. Will Firefox crashes show up there?

2x in the last 4 days my Lycos/Mailcity email account will not function. However when I switch to a different browser it works fine. I receive the red triangle with a white exclamation point. Can you help me fix it please? Renee Harvey Email hidden for privacy reasons

When I try to login in to websites (example Calm Radio) the Submit or Log In type of buttons don't activate. It does not hang or go into a spinning loop, no blank screen, etc. Just acts like there is no followup action to execute. The same buttons work on Edge or Chrome on the same computer. I have attached a screenshot as an example.

I'm having an issue with signing into my.elementor account using Firefox. I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 11. There are no errors occurring from Firefox or anywhere else. I can sign in to my elementor account with other browsers (Chrome and Edge) no problem.

This started with the last couple of updates to Firefox. I've never had issues like this before with Firefox.

When I go to the elementor website and click on Sign In, the sign in page comes up. I normally click on the Sign in with Google. Then the Google popup shows then goes away in about 2 seconds and I am not signed into elementor. No errors at all.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or can point me in the right direction to troubleshoot.

Elementor works fine when I'm building my website using Firefox.

'since the update from Aug 20 to 129.02 cannot open lobstr.co on firefox (after 8 captchas get error). Have no problem opening lobstr on Windows or Google. So this has to do with your last update. What do you suggest?

'I wonder if Firefox could be the source of a problem that I have recently encountered. All of the online subscriptions, clothing accounts (Lands End, LLBean, etc.) no longer accept my user names or passwords. Could the problem originate in a change in Firefox?

I've got Sync on a laptop and phone. My phone will see all the current tabs on my desktop, but the desktop is out of date by about a week no matter how many times I hit Sync Now.

I have signed out and signed in again on my laptop but this did nothing. I saved a new bookmark on my desktop to force a sync, nothing. I did the same on my phone, nothing. Short of signing out on my phone and possibly risk the one that DOES actually Sync, what else can I do?

My phone is an Android, my laptop is using Windows 11. My laptop has not reset recently.

here is the run down of this problem and how to fix it over and over and over its not really fix its a work around...

first things first Version 129.0.2 64bit problem is on both linux and windows 10/11 problem is the same on both having addons installed does not seems to matter as it seems this a problem with firefox it self and devs have bin ignoring it for a long time it seems

so what happens open a page open in new tab or just following a link (google or other search engine etc) page loads fully select text and right click to open context menu copy is greyed out and does not work work around switch tab and just switch back right click to open context menu copy it not greyed out anymore and can now be used

this happens at 100% rate works around always works but that is not a fix to this problem

Note's

ctrl+c works but context menu copy still show's greyed out

problems seems to happen even on a clean install of firefox windows or linux

and to test it even more i just reinstalled windows and arch linux on my laptop (it need a good clean up) so there was not last over date in appdata or program data on windows and the same on linux nothing was save there was no account logged in to sync data/settings

just to check if im not going insane here i installed chorme load the same page's copy on context menu always works

I have the Dutch and English dictionary installed and both show up in the context menu. But at random, only the Dutch dictionary is checked and the English one not. The Spellchecker then only uses the Dutch and I have to manually enable English again. This is really at random. For example on YouTube: I write a comment and English is checked. But another time on YouTube, English suddenly is not checked and have to enable it again in the context menu. So not a huge deal but still remarkable.

About two or three times a month the PC randomly freezes completely if a video is running in the actual Firefox browser (regardless of the site, regardless of whether it is in the active tab or in the background). First the image freezes, after about 10 seconds the sound freezes. Only a hard reset helps. The problem is observed both in actual Windows 11 and in Manjaro Linux. In games, rendering, stress tests and other PC works stably, does not freeze. How to solve this problem?

I have the "Always ask you where to save files" check box checked in settings, but it still just automatically saves everything to my downloads folder and I keep having to then cut and paste the file where I want it. I also have "Ask whether to open or save files" checked. Any idea how to fix this, so it will ask me where to save downloads?

Having hundreds of opened tabs across many windows and 3 separate desktops , I can not find tab that suddenly become active. Particular Icon of active desktop icon and active window icon and list of tabs specific icon should be flashing to make easy to find transmitting/active Icon/tab in ‘Firefox’.
