Is it possible to have my Outlook calender (the email is already in thunderbird) in my thunderbird and the calender should be editable and when I add events, I also want it to show on my calender in Outlook. TBSync is not working anymore. Please help me!

hi all. if i create a new blank Task it automatically pre-selects today's date as the start date, and if i create a Task from an email it sets the date the email was received as the start date. i know can filter tasks lists, and hide columns, but the real issue is how it looks on the calendar; with the fixed start date, setting a due date in a month's time results in a fixed, ongoing task for a month. is there any plugin or setting that will just stop TB setting a start date that i can't change, or letting me explicitly set it myself?

Apple ID and password are saved in Thunderbird but every time I open Thunderbird it now askd for apple ID & password. Was working OK originally about 3 months ago but itn the last 2-3 weeks has started to ask for this info, If I type it in with my apple ID and the apple specific password then the calendar opens. It I say save password the next time I open Thunderbird it asks for Apple ID and password. and so on and so on.....

My iCal calendar has been connected to Thunderbird for ages and the connection has survived several updates on both ends. The Server is Nextcloud (currently 32.0.0.13). In the Today pane next to my Inbox I always have the "Tasks" view open. Creating, editing and completing tasks works as it always did. But some time ago (I don't know when exactly) all options in the "Filter Tasks" sub menu became greyed out. This used to work and I'm not aware of any change I made.

The same happened on my other system which runs Thunderbird 149.0 as the ubuntu-snap-build supplied by Ubuntu on Ubuntu 24.04.

Is there something I can do or is this a Thunderbird bug?

In version 149.0.1, the calendar layout seems to have changed so that, in the week view, the days are rows instead of columns. Is there a way to change to days being columns? The new layout really does not work for my events. I have short events that now can't be read at all because the event is too short to display any part of the event title.

Any chance in a standalone Thunderbird calendar application to be put into works and have the possibility to be made for Android now that Thunderbird is available on Android as well, as I think it would be really great if I could have the benefits of both the Thunderbird email client and Thunderbird Calendar at the same time which would rival against other apps like Proton Calendar and Tuta Calendar.

Which would then hopefully increase the amount of people that use Thunderbird products.

Thanks for all the hard work the dev team has done for the Thunderbird email client for Android as i am really grateful for it as I use it as a gmail replacement until Thunderbird Pro is available to get a Thundermail email address, but I noticed a gap in the market for a standalone Thunderbird calendar app for Android and I think it would be a massive missed opportunity!

On my home computer and my lap top I have Thunderbird installed. Both profiles are identical. The emails on both systems are updated by just downloading them from the provider account. My calender is normaly used on my home computer as well all appointments are saved there.

Going on longer trips away from home I would like to import all my calendar data from my home computer to my lap top. Copying the complete profile takes too much time. By just copying the calendar-data file to my lap top I do not get a working result. What do I miss?

I'm not sure how, but the default orientation of my calendar items in day or week view is stuck on horizontal. I don't remember any express change that I made, and combing through the settings and online research has not yielded a solution. I'm not sure how to switch it back, and it's pretty inconvenient!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hallo everybody, I replaced my outlook app with Thunderbird and happy with the e-mail function. But I'm desperatly looking for a calender integration. Is there a funtionality I didn't see or do I need to use an add-in? I couldn't find something in the forum yet. Kind regards Oliver

Hi I have successfully linked my TB Calendar to Nextcloud. However, Tasks are not syncing.

When I go to create a task in the shared calendar TB advises: Please select a calendar that supports tasks

I understand later versions of TB now handle CAL and CARD Dav better.

Some have suggested using TBSync addon, however that appears to only support account creation for Google and MS calendars, but not Nextcloud.

Is there a setting in TB or NextCloud I am missing, or an addon ???

I recently transferred to a new Win 11 system. I copied the profiles over and all my address book and settings are working. I have found that my calendars are not. I have three sub-calendars attached to my Home calendar, one was downloaded "USHolidays" and is working, the other two I created and are grayed out. The hover message says they are "momentarily not available." How do I fix this so they appear?

Hi, am not finding anything helpful in the support area, so hoping someone can help me solve. When a calendar reminder pops up, and I try to snooze or dismiss, I get this message:

Status Code: 2,147,500,037, null

Server Replied with 400 If you’re seeing this message after snoozing or dismissing a reminder and this is for a calendar you do not want to add or edit events for, you can mark this calendar as read-only to avoid such experience in future. To do so, get to the calendar properties by right-clicking on this calendar in the list in the calendar or task view.

Thing is, I do want to add and edit events, so I have no other options and the reminder keeps popping up every couple of minutes it seems. Any help resolving is appreciated. Thx!

Using TB 147.0.2 on Windows 11. Installation went very smoothly, including importing all my IMAP, Gmail, and iCloud accounts. Kudos!

However, my iCloud account has four calendars (personal, shared, travel, work) and TB only sees two of the four. I can't pinpoint any reason why. There's nothing special about the two it sees or the two it doesn't, as far as I can tell.

Any hints? Suggestions? Ridicule?

I'm long time user of Thunderbird Calendar. For most of the events in calendar I have reminders that should pop up for example 7 days before the event. This was working correctly.

About half year ago. The reminders stopped working. I don't get the reminder 7 days before, but they pop up on the day of the event. This is quite unpleasant. For example If I have my car technical check deadline and I get the reminder on the deadline, not 7 days ahead.

I have not changed any settings around the time it started happening.

So far I have checked: -Individual event reminder settings : yes they still got the reminder set up to pop up some days before the event -Settings / Calendar / Reminders / Show the reminder dialog - checked -Settings / Calendar / Notification / Show notifications for upcoming events - I added here "1 day before event starts" notification, but that also doesn't work. -Tried Googling the issue. Found some threads about reminders not popping at all. Not the case here. I don't get notifications before the event, but they pop up at the time of the event. No luck here.

Since about half a year has passed since this started, I guess it's not a bug that happens to everyone.

I accidently unsubscribed my current calendar. It does not list anymore, I do not know how to list unsubscribed calendars. How to re-subscribe it? (Window 11 w/latest Thunderbird). thanks very much.

Help. Help. I have been a very happy Thunderbird user for many years. I have linked my microsoft exchange calendar to thunderbird with the TBSync and Provider for Exchange ActiveSync.

With the upgrade to version 148, those add-ons no longer work.

So I downgraded to 140 ESR and those two add-ons were ok.

But when I tried to link them to my calendar, they would not sync. I received 401 and 403 errors from the automated setups. And the manual setup, asked for my password over and over again. They all worked beautifully before.

Please how can I get them to work again. I do not want to have to shift to outlook.
