Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

Thunderbird has stopped receiving emails. I followed the instructions I found. restet cache, I have enough memory, hosting service account space is adequate, checked login credentials (I have been sending and receiving for months with no problems) restarted phone. I am getting no error messages.

This happened with my last email program and I installed Thunderbird after no one could find a problem.

I was working with my own simple pop3 test server and noticed thunderbird also K-9 and even Gmail seem to send some unstandard commands to the server causing an error. FairEmail however works fine. The server is a simple pop3 for local testing can anybody explain why your email clients are not compatible with pop3 standards perhapse how you deviated from the standard?

I like the platform but am frustrated that my inbound emails and inboxes are only retrieved every 15 minutes for it to check and synch? Can it be set up for immediate reveal of new messages and account synching?

I tried to connect to my personal outlook email account on a fresh installation of thunderbird mobile. The setup wizard gave the correct configuration as described in microsoft's official documentation. But the following error occured: Authentication unsuccessful, SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Mailbox.

IMAP is enabled in microsoft's mail account settings on outlook.com.

Hi, I seem to be missing the send button in the Android app. (I do know that it's supposed to be the regtangular shape). When I compose a simple e-mail it is there. But when I want to reply a longer e-mail, it is missing sometimes. For now, I have found no pattern for when it is there and when it's not. I can't click on Alt or anything, since it's on a smart phone.

Hello, when I try to answer a message or forward an e-mail, both the attachment, send and more options buttons are missing. They are there when I compose a new e-mail. What can I do?

How to set up mail verification in the app. I need it every minute. It costs at least 15 minutes. Ver. 18.0 In the web version, you can select starting from 1 minute.

I use Thunderbird Android with my private smtp account, now I want to use it with my outlook365 company account, but when I install, after loggin in it says "need admin approval". The admin can't find where or what to approve. I tried Microsoft help which gave me copilot, but it points me to non-existing settings.

Anyone knows how to configure Thunderbird Android with Outlook365?

Today I received a suspicious email from wilfred.bayer.lsr8a@sewjp.jolorvex.world. When I tried to forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk, it remained in the mobile app's Outbox and a message appeared as a notification: "Failed to send a message. Reject for policy reason." Then I took a screenshot of as much of the content as I could and attached it to a new email, sending it to the same address. This too remains in the Outbox. What is the problem?

Just started to use Thunderbird mail app on Android smartphone but it doesn't seem to be showing badge count for new emails & seems to be delayed in receiving new emails.

I have double checked the settings but cannot identify the correct setting to receive emails straight away?

Seit dem Update über Playstore wurden alle Mails vom Posteingang (Gemeinsamer Psitereingang mit mehreren Konten) in den Papierkorb verschoben und die Einstrellungen für Mails Abfragen wurden ebenfalls verändert ! Wann ist mit einer Bereinigung zu rechnen? Ein manuelles Verschieben vom Papierkorb in den Pisteingang ist ebenfalls nicht möglich. Dieser Fehler ist sehr ärgerlich ! :-( MfG

ich habe  seit  5  tagen  kein e.mail.   e.mail schon aber kann keine mails  verschicken.  ich musste  am 1.mai   bei magenta  mein paswort  neu eingeben  .  das funktioniert  jetzt  aber mails kann ich nicht  versenden :(

When I select text in message compose window, the text select colour remains white, same as the background colour. I'm using dark theme in message composer just to avoid this problem.

Miui - android 10 I think an update to Thunderbird broke this. Else it was working perfectly.

I'm using Thunderbird on my Chromebook. I can't use the pointer to open the "more options" menu (the three dots) in the email to get to forward and other options. Hovering over the dots shows the "More Options" message, but clicking does not open the menu. I have a touch screen chromebook and discovered that I can touch the three buttons and it opens. Once the menu is opened, the mouse pointer works to select forward and the other options.

I'm using Thundebrird version 17.0 on Android 15. I sent last month an email (from Thundebrird Desktop) to multiple people and got from around 20 of them responses which I critically need to preserve. I deleted none of them (intentionally). Today I found out that 15 of them disappeared from my inbox, when checking on Thunderbird on my laptop. On my phone I can find those 15 in my trash folder grouped together. I was super relieved to find these critical responses but also confused since I definitely didn't delete 15 of those emails. Most likely they were grouped together and I swipe delete them by accident. I mark each of them and select "move to" -> "Inbox". And now they just vanished. They are no longer in my trash and don't show up in my inbox. Normally when I move from deleted to inbox they move fine, same for spam.

Anything I could do? Anywhere I could look for these emails?

Hi. I use Thunderbird Android 17.0 on my phone and tablet. Everything is great on the phone.

On the tablet, unified inbox worked fine until two days ago. Now, no email goes into the unified inbox and I have to open accounts individually to see email. The unified inbox still shows, but the last email in there is from two days ago. I did not change any settings and berichten that the checkbox is checked to show the unify inbox.

What cohort have caused this and how can I fix it?

I installed Thunderbird on a new Motorola Razr running Android 15. It worked just fine for a few days, but now will not download any new emails (GMail on the same phone is working fine). I have two accounts installed. One (much smaller) seems to be working fine, while the other is only partially working. Namely, I can only see emails from Monday or earlier (today is Thursday).

If I use my desktop to delete one of the older messages that is displayed on the phone, it will be removed from the phone the next time I swipe down and have it refresh the inbox. If I use the desktop to update the read/unread status of an email that does appear one the phone, that is not updated when I refresh the phone.

It is a recently added account, is it possible that the device is just downloading older messages and is backed up? I don't know where or how I could access the activity monitor (or whatever the proper name is) to see what the program is or is not doing.
