Hated Mozilla VPN on macOS. Deleted device and trashed app. I believe your non- accessible “kill switch” is preventing valid IP addy and DNS from being recognized by my ISP.

How do I get rid of ALL Mozilla VPN coding outta my system?

Hello,

Typically, when you visit a website, that site’s server can see your IP address (your computer’s location) and usually the connection isn’t secure so data collectors can see what information your computer is sending out. When you use Mozilla VPN to connect to the Internet, you use the IP address of one of our encrypted servers instead of your real IP address, and that will throw off data collectors who profile you based on your location.

To completely uninstall an app from your Mac OS device follow the steps below:

  • Exit the program you want to delete.
  • Open the Applications folder, which you'll find by opening a new window in the Finder (icon with a blue face), or clicking on the hard disk icon.
  • Drag the icon of the program you want to uninstall to the Trash.
  • Empty the Trash.

I hope you may find this helpful, and please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks, but I already understand the VPN architecture and deleted Mozilla VPN just as you said before contacting you. Attached is the error I get sans-VPN when trying to accesss the ‘net like I did prior to VPN installation.

Any further help you can offer is appreciated

I think I'm having the same problem.

My computer froze and shut down with VPN on and now the kill switch is permanently activated unless I'm in VPN mode.

I can't delete the Mozilla VPN app because then I'd lose the ability to browse the web completely.
