Change themes in Firefox for iOS

Firefox for iOS has built in dark and light themes as well as Night Mode, so you can customize its appearance. Learn more about changing your theme.

Set theme to light or dark

  1. At the bottom of the screen, tap the menu button (the menu will be at the top right if you're using an iPad):

  2. Tap Settings in the menu panel.
  3. Tap Theme in the General section.
  4. By default, Use System Light/Dark Mode will be enabled. Use the toggle to turn this off to choose your theme display mode.
  • Automatically: Firefox can switch between light and dark themes automatically based on screen brightness by selecting Automatically, then select your display brightness threshold to adjust the levels used under Threshold.
  • Manually: To pick the theme you want, enable Manually and then choose either Light or Dark under Theme Picker.
