Cannot send emails

After using Thunderbird for many years, suddenly when I try to send an email, I get the error message "daily user sending limit exceeded". Apparently, I was the victim of a phishing hack yesterday, where a fictious email was send to everyone on my contact list. I have not been able to notify anyone because I can't send emails.

You will want to change your account password and talk with your e-mail service provider about removing the limit so you can contact people. Thunderbird is not a factor in these issues.
