Due to Windows XP EOL issues I've transitioned most of our office workstations to Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS. However, a single government website(go figure) insists upon allowing only IE. The information on this specific site is vital to normal business operations. (www.providerone.org)

While you can see the login page, you can't actually login or other wise interact with this site. Henceforth, we keep a couple Windows 7 boxes active solely to access this single website. Boogers!

Is there a way to have Firefox convince this errant website that it is really internet explorer?

Hi,

When I visit the website in question, http://www.providerone.org/ that domain seems to be parked...Is that the correct domain name you are trying to access?

https://www.waproviderone.org/ Sorry, this is the correct link.

Thanks All, for your help and responding so quickly. The UserAgent solution did not work with this website. I do however, thank you for the attempt.

Oddwallager, you can run Internet explorer in Linux using Wine or use Virtual Box, I have attached 2 links pls take a look.

I don't think Useragent solution can work.

Even in IE 10 and later you need to enable compatibility mode, so it looks that the website is using IE proprietary code that only works in older IE versions and that is even no longer supported in current IE releases.

So it is not very likely that you will be able to use this website in Firefox.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try running IE under Wine in the next couple days and see what happens.
