I cannot access any search engine eg. google.com, or yahoo

I have verizon, yahoo as homepage. I cannot search in that page - also, I cannot access google.com when going to the address bar. It says connecting.... but times out before I get anything.

Try running a traceroute to both of these and post the output if you see any problems.
