I need help changing a few firefox icons and the tab height

I am on ubuntu 11.04 and really hate the firefox tab close button and the open new tab button. I think they are the defaults from my current ubuntu theme. Is there anyway to change these icons separately?

Also what is the CSS selector I need to use to edit the tab heights?

Try a different icon pack to see if you can find one that suits better. I prefer Tango to have icons with color.

You can use the DOM Inspector to find the selectors of elements.
