In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar. Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar. Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.
See also Restore the Menu bar in Firefox --- Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). Thank you for a reply but I have gone through alt V T before with no results> I also opened Firefox in safe mode no results. I have Menu bar, Navigation bar, Bookmarks bar, Google bar, as well as button bar showing ( right click on button bar offers hide buttons and show buttons> with 8 buttons ( eg auto fill, spell-check, etc) to check and get more buttons. anyone that I check will not show up on button bar and it stays blank. I suspect I have a problem in the program folder for Mozilla Firefox. This problem occurred after upgrade and I also unchecked all tool-bars to watch Eckhard Tolle on Oprah. I did get back all tool bars back but lost buttons on button bar. In capture shot blank bar (2nd from bottom) is button bar. Help please. High frustration factor.............. David I sure miss fill forms.............
