Have Javascript enabled but webpages tell me I haven't...

I have checked my settings and appear to have Javascript enabled. I definitely have it installed on my computer yet when I try to access webpages for which it is necessary, I am told by the webpage that I do not have it enabled.

What can I do about this please?
