Floating Search Bar

Micah

Sometimes when I come back to the Firefox app (i.e. already opened to the last tab I browsed) the lower search bar is floating in a place on my screen higher than normal and I’m unable to access it. It’s blocking the screen and I can’t touch or type into the search bar. It requires a quitting of the app and restarting it. This happens almost every day at least once or more. Seems like a bug of some kind perhaps to with scrolling on the page. Would love a solution.

Hi Micah,

That definitely sounds off. Can you share a screenshot of how it look like?

There's a few similar reports: - github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/34656 - github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/32873 - github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/29740

depending on if rotation, backgrounding or accessory/input methods triggered it.

If this started for you recently, it's possible there's a fix that will roll out in two days in v156.0 github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/35638 so check your app store Monday to get the newest version and see if there's any improvement. Thanks!
