It said it would roll out to all version 149 users. Today it updated to version 150 and the first thing it showed on the update announcement page was the VPN feature. A feature that's still not there. There is no switch to toggle at the top right corner, I clicked the puzzle symbol and it's not listed there and just hidden. So what's the story with this extension?

Where did you see that?.. I don't think Mozilla has ever communicated that. The advertisement page... Well, it advertises, so it does its job :D As mentioned in the support article, the feature is being rolled out gradually. Right now it's available to users from the US, UK, Germany, France (since v149) and Canada (since v150), but not to all of them. There are still user groups from those countries that don't have the VPN available, and other countries don't have it at all. Sorry for that, but we have to be patient. Also, the VPN is not an extension, but a built-in feature. You'll see its icon right on the toolbar when it's available.
