I am helping a friend who has a problem when opening any browser software on an old laptop so I cannot operate the syncing option. The old laptop uses Windows 10.

I want to transfer (to new laptop running Windows 11) the history, bookmarks and passswords by copying from users/hername/AppData/ but do not know which files need to be copied

beanpoleuk, see these articles. The first is more general. If you already know where the original and new profile folders are on the hard drives, then you may just want to skip to the second to decide which files to copy (while Firefox is closed, naturally). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-passwords-and-data-from-an-old-firefox-profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-your-important-data-and-their-files
