Why does Firefox keep losing my open windows and tabs after a restart?

Over the last 5 or 6 months, Firefox seems to have lost the capacity to remember my open tabs if my Mac is forced to restart. These open tabs are vital to my workflow. If this can't be solved, I shall have to migrate to another browser, which is something I do not wish to do.

My Firefox version is 147.0.4; my computer a Mac Studio 2025 M3 Ultra; my OS Tahoe 26.3.

Please advise.

Hey there, Firefox can restore your previous tabs, you can see how here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-previous-session As you will also see on the article, you can choose to always restore your open tabs after restarting your Firefox. Hope this helps.
