Hi Mike, if it's the built-in feature, check the steps in the following article: Firefox Translations.

If it was an add-on, you should be able to remove it by right-clicking its button (with a one-button mouse, try Ctrl+click) and choosing Remove Extension. Or you can use the puzzle piece button -- Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar.
