Third party access to Google email account

In June, bluemenofmorocco@gmail.com no longer sends or receives email via thunderbird. Other Gmail addresses keep working via thunderbird. Says authentication error. I recall I had to set up a password with Google on my Google account. My daughter says this happens sometimes a third party access issue. I don't recall this earlier password to Google years ago. Thank you for your help.
