How to resolve a problem apparently caused by a Thunderbird update
When it appears that a Thunderbird version update has caused a problem, is there a way to safely revert back to a version prior to whichever update may have caused the problem?

There is no guarantee, but there is a rollback feature. Click windows key and 'r' key and then, in the window that opens, enter thunderbird.exe -p --allow-downgrade and a rollback will be attempted. DO backup your profile prior to doing this. That may not help, but it's an option.
