Viewing educational podcasts in Firefox is not working

I have just started a self employment course and I am required to watch podcasts sent via email. These podcasts never finishing loading in my Firefox Browser, but if I switch to the Safari browser the videos work fine.

I am using a 2013/14 iMac with operating system Catalina-fully up to date.

I have adjusted the security to standard and don't really know what else to try. I would prefer to keep using Firefox, but the podcast videos do not seem to work in Firefox. I do not know what else to adjust or activate or deactivate to solve the problem, but Safari with no set up seemed to play the videos no issue what so ever?

Thank You

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

OK, the suggestions did not solve my problem but I did notice in troubleshoot mode the link is visible in the address bar, but it still doesn't load, where in regular mode the link is not visible it just opens a new tab and then nothing.

So in troubleshoot mode the link is visible but never loads. Is this progress, or does this tell us anything?

Here is the link

Please let me know if you have any more suggestions.

Security is set to standard, cache deleted, and set up to delete on quitting Firefox. I am not sure what else to adjsut.

Thank You Gerrit

This video only loads via http://, so Firefox might be forcing secure HTTPS if it isn't working.

If HTTPS-Only mode is enabled then I get an error page and can click the button to go to the HTTP link. I'm not sure what happens if you click a link via email or otherwise.

I just want to thank you everyone who provided me with answers.

I think the HTTPS mode was turned on, because with it turned off the video plays.

Thank you again to everyone who offered assistance.
