Possible to delete a site from search suggestions?

There is a web site that only legitimately visited years ago but it keeps coming up as the top suggestion when typing in the search bar. How can that site be removed from suggestions?

There is a web site that only legitimately visited years ago but it keeps coming up as the top suggestion when typing in the search bar. How can that site be removed from suggestions?

Either

  • search for it in the history and delete it

or

  • press the ↓ arrow and navigate to the suggestion, do not move your mouse at all (as not to disrupt the selection), then press Ctrl+Del (or maybe Cmd+Del, never used a Mac) to delete it.
