For the past two weeks, I keep getting the error "Sending of password for user w***y@att.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again later." According to ATT, they're saying it's Thunderbird's fault. Any suggestions?

This ticks me off. So the solution did fix my problem but then are you saying that Mozilla KNOWS this is a issue with Thunderbird but continues to not fix it?

I wouldn't say it's a problem that TB is ignoring, as TB has no control over the requirements imposed by mail providers, but instead it indicates the failure of AT&T to inform its users of the changing security requirements - which apply to all desktop mail clients, not just TB.
