Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar.
How many profiles are listed?
How many should be there?
Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.
In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

When you reset the password for Sync all the data saved in Sync is cleared. Sorry, but that was fatal mistake.
A different password won't decrypt any previously Synced data - the password was / is used to create the algorithm by which your data is encrypted.
A misuse of the Sync service if you don't have another device connected to the Sync / Firefox Account.
all my other computers / phones , have my passwords , why cant i get my passwords back on the one i am working on ? how come you cant copy and past all the passwords all at the same time ? doing it one at a time is going to suck . i wish i did change the password . but your supose to change your passwords from time to time , not firefox i guess .
p.s. i didn't misuse Sync , i always used Sync to get my passwords back .

You could copy a pair of files from another computer to your currently live profile on this computer. Those files are:
- logins.json
-
key.db4key4.db sorry for the typo!
Please review these articles for more information, and also, please make sure to Exit fully out of Firefox before replacing any of its settings files.
- Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
- Recover important data from an old profile
One other note: some types of Windows Refresh/Reset will create a folder named
C:\Windows.old
Do you have that folder? I don't know whether that was available on Windows 7 or only later versions of Windows.
